We can chose to be happy, sad, angry or any of the emotions in between.

If you were given the chance right now, right this very second on how to live the rest of your life what would you choose? Would you really choose to be angry and bitter? To be sad, lonely and caught up in a life of drama?

The truth is the majority of us just want to be happy.

So how can you be happy when all this “stuff” keeps happening to you?

You choose to

There is always another way of looking at things and you have the choice.

I have put together a few easy steps to do every day for 10 days that will change your life FOREVER! I have done this myself and within 5 days, my life turned around and miracles began to occur.

There is however one catch….. You have to WANT to do it!

Meditate each day.

You don’t need to spend an hour doing this, (if you can that is great however not a reality for most of us) a simple three minute meditation first thing in the morning before you get into your day will do wonders for you. Step 2

Write yourself a list of affirmations, no more than 10 and repeat these to yourself at least 6 times a day every day. If you can, try to visualize these while you are doing them.

Some examples of affirmations are below:

I am fit, healthy & beautiful

I love and am loved by my perfect partner

My body heals itself perfectly

My life is perfect right now (always try to end with this one)

When writing affirmations be sure to right them in the present, and keep them real. If you don’t have a dollar to your name saying I’m a multi-millionaire is not believable for you. Perhaps change it to something like “I accept money willingly into my life each day”.

Step 3

Each day you need to be TRULY grateful for the good things in your life.

We all have good things in our lives, it’s just that sometimes we are so caught up with the “stuff” we spend all our time focusing on that and not appreciating what is right in front of our eyes. An attitude of gratitude will truly change your life & create miracles, each and every day, guaranteed. Even if there is only one thing in your life that you are appreciative of, be grateful for that one thing and more good things will come into your life. Don’t try to convince yourself that you are happy about things you aren’t. Instead release your need to control them, release them from your thought processes and let the universe take care of them for you.

Step 4

Follow the signs and coincidences that occur in your life. These are guided steps to help you achieve what you want in your life.

Every person has the right and ability to change their life right now. We can all experience, love, peace and bliss in the time is takes to have a thought. By changing your way of thinking, you are changing your life.

You may find there are still times when you feel down or a little low. The best way to get through these feelings is by going through these processes again. In fact why not do them every day for the rest of your life!

Imagine if you could live in peace, harmony, happiness and love, every single day of your life.

Firstly I would like to mention that for most business around 60% - 70% of their income comes from existing clients so it is important to ensure you have a good quality database and you keep these people happy.

Offer your existing clients special deals to buy from you again and encourage them through affiliate programs and other promotions to refer their contacts onto you. These people are the easiest people to sell to as they already know you, your business and what you are about, and if all has gone to plan would be happy to refer you onto contacts of theirs who require your style of services.

Below are 5 Proven Ways to Get NEW CLIENTS into your business. If you follow these tips you will be guaranteed of getting new clients into your business, however I cannot stress enough how important it is to touch your existing clients at least on a monthly basis by way of newsletter, teleclasses, snail mail or all three. Be sure to offer them lots & lots of value. People don't like to be sold every time they have contact with you so give them value and they will continue to open your emails & newsletters, if all you do is sell them with every contact you have, eventually they will unsubscribe and you have potentially lost the client forever.

The 5 Proven Ways to Get New Clients On Your Database

  1. Run competitions - people love competitions and they love to win stuff. There are lots of options for this one, only limited by your imagination. A good example is a giveaway of one of your products, a free consult, holidays, etc. If you are speaking at a free talk put a large bowl or box where people can leave their business cards to go into a draw to win somthing. This way you are getting their contact details and can contact them again later asking if they would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
  2. Free talks - speak to free at other people's events - For me speaking at other people's events is probably the most effective way to get new clients and subscribers onto your database. This is actually pretty easy to organise. If you have a colleague or business assocate who has a similar target market to you, offer them a free talk to their database. Alternatively there are hundreds of trade shows and expos on around the country, contact the organiser and get yourself a speaking arrangement at one of the events. The reason free talks work so well is because people get to try you out a little bit before they subscribe to your database or purchase anything from you.
  3. Offer a free giveaway when people subscribe to your website, it needs to be something of value. People love stuff for free so produce something that you can give them for free when they subscribe for example, a free teleclass or an e-book. Both easy to do and will give your clients some added value.
  4. Attend networking groups. I think this is one area where a lot of small businesses fall down, they just don't get themselves out there enough. If you aren't regularly in the public eye, people will forget about you. You don't have to go to a networking event each week although regular networking groups can be very effective for sourcing new clients however just get out there. Taking Action is the key!
  5. Run free teleclasses - running a free teleclass will give potential clients a taste of you, what you do and what you are about. They can try to you for FREE before deciding to puchase and if you continue to give them lots of added value they will keep coming back time and time again.

Remember people love things that give them value for FREE and are more likely to come back. Once you have these people on your database and you are regularly giving them value, it gives you greater opportunities to sell to them in the future, hence creating new clients.

A successful business is built on successful relationships. Your clients are the most important part of your business so it is in your best interest to do the right thing by them.

I get very frustrated when I speak to business people who act like their clients are a burden. If this is you, think of it like this, if your clients don't come back and they don't refer anyone, eventually you won't have a business at all so it is in your best interest to create a strong business community.

How to Market Your Event

This is probably the question I am most commonly asked. The most important thing you need to remember is there is not one way to get lots of people to an event but lots of ways to get one person to an event. You need to use every resource you have available to you. The more you use the more people will attend.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to run your marketing program. If you don't market your event you'll be the only person attending! Ideally your numbers should be finalised 4 weeks prior to the event.

So what does this mean...... basically use every tool you have to market your event. You need to get yourself out there and use all of these tools in combination, not just pick one but use them all. Below are some example of tools you can use to market your event:

  • email
  • blog
  • talking at other people's events
  • networking
  • on-line social networking
  • affiliate programs

just to name a few. There are lots of ways you can be effective but you need to do them all, not just one.

Database - this is the first place you should start. Ideally in a 20 weeks marketing campaign for an event, you would contact your database at least a dozen times. This is where 60 - 70% of the people who attend your event will come from so the more you involve them the more successful your event will be. Offer them a special discount such as a super early bird offer that is only available to them to encourage them to book early.

Tip for the week - Knowing your target market

It is surprising how many people in business don't actually know who their target market is, and honestly I was one of them for a very long time. It wasn't until I actually realised this that my business really started to take off. It's such a huge thing that needs to be regularly looked at.

Why do you need to know this?

Simple, how can you market & promote your business if you don't know who you are marketing to! There is no point putting an advert in a men’s fitness magazine if you business is craft! You are just going to waste a lot of money for no result. It is much easier to target your marketing and leverage your marketing dollar if you know exactly who you are pitching to. The tighter your niche the better - this way you know exactly who to contact when you are trying to sell your products. Remember though your niche should be the size of Sydney Harbour, you don't want to niche yourself out of the market, your niche should be a mile wide & a mile long.

Below is a quick exercise you can do to assist you in recognising your target market

1. Who are your normally clients? Who buys from you currently? Can you see a pattern?

2. Write a list of how your current clients generally find you.

3. Write 3 places of how you could find them, ie daycare centres, schools, etc

4. Come up with 3 "out of the box" ways you can contact these people.

Now that you have some idea of whom your target market are TAKE ACTION and contact them. Write an action plan for each week and put the deadlines in your diary.
